7-step plan to SUCCEED in life

This is the only order you need (I’ve personally used this to become a multi-millionaire)

Naval said something years ago.

He said the mistake most people make with wealth is that they get the order wrong. They acquire things before they have built the earning power. They try mastering their emotions after burnout has already broken them. They try to help their family with money they do not yet have.

The sequence matters as much as the steps.

Here is the sequence I have been running my whole adult life:

  1. Learn high-income skills.

This is the foundation. You’re going to master skills the market pays for at premium rates.

Copywriting, sales, marketing, coding, deal-making. If you skip this step, everything downstream becomes 10x harder because you are trying to build businesses with skills the market does not value.

  1. Build businesses using those skills.

Once the skill is real, you convert it into ownership. Freelance first if you have to. Then agency, product, or software. The skill becomes the leverage, and the business becomes the vehicle that turns the skill into equity.

  1. Get cashflow.

The business exists to produce this. Cashflow is what buys you the two things nothing else can, which is time and optionality. Without both, none of the next steps are possible.

  1. Master emotions, the mind, and the physical self.

This is the step almost every founder skips. They race past it because it does not feel like it is producing anything, and by the time they realize it was the most important step, they are burnt out at 32 with a business they can no longer stand to run. Cashflow without self-mastery just accelerates whatever was already broken. Health, sleep, emotional regulation, clarity of thought.

Skip them and the whole system collapses under its own weight.

  1. Use cashflow to acquire assets.

Once the machine is running and you are well enough to make good decisions, you convert cashflow into things that appreciate. Real estate, equity in other businesses, long-hold investments. The goal here is not to get rich faster. It is to detach your income from your labor so that you can eventually stop trading time for money at all.

  1. Help loved ones and family build their businesses.

This step almost never gets talked about openly because it sounds soft. Once you have the skills, the cashflow, the self-mastery, and the assets, the highest-leverage thing you can do is put those tools in the hands of the people you love.

  1. Create generational wealth.

Generational wealth is what happens naturally when the first six steps have been run in the right order for long enough. It is downstream of everything else.

Now the hard question.

Look at the seven steps and mark where you are.

Most people will find they are stuck between two and three. They’re running businesses that do not produce real cashflow or producing cashflow but skipping straight to step five without ever touching step four.

That is where the majority of the burnout in this game lives.

The plan has always been simple. The order has always mattered. And the reason so few people finish it is that the middle steps are the boring ones and most people quit boring before it pays them back.

Do the steps. In order. The rest of your life gets built on the foundation.
