Are you sleepwalking through life?
This is a skill that is not talked about enough.

Every big decision you make will alter your life.
It will change how fast you make money.
How loved you are by the people around you.
What opportunities show up at your door and which ones pass you by.
Most people do not realize this until years later, when they look back and finally see how one choice changed everything downstream.
But nobody talks about recognizing this big decision while it is in front of you. That noticing, that pause before you decide is an actual skill.
And most people never develop this skill.
They treat pivotal decisions like ordinary ones and then wonder, 5 years later, why their life looks the way it does.
The Stoics had a word for the skill of noticing. They called it prosoche.
It’s a kind of continuous attention to the present moment, to what is actually in front of you, to what matters.
It is not vigilance in the anxious sense.
Epictetus wrote that the untrained mind drifts. It moves through the day on autopilot.
When that happens, big moments come and go without being registered as big. The person having them wasn't paying enough attention to notice.
The trained mind, by contrast, pauses. It asks:
Is this a small moment or a big one? Is this a choice I will still be living inside in five years?
Most of the time the answer is no. But when the answer is yes, everything changes about how you handle it.
The choices are always going to be there.
Whether you notice them is the only variable you control.
