Authority = Conviction × Authenticity

The formula to build real trust and turn your personal brand into a revenue engine

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re not building a personal brand just to be seen.

> You want to be remembered

> You want to be respected

> And most importantly, you want to be trusted

But if you’re copying or taking inspiration from what others in your niche are doing, then chances are that you’re backing the wrong horse.

You’re worrying about attention just like they are because you think virality will be your golden ticket and impressions are some sort of prize.

That’s why you see so many accounts with big followings and no real income. They’ve got the grabbing attention part on luck, but they’re not validating the kind of attention they’re getting and they’re not realizing that their failure to build trust is what’s stopping them from monetizing their personal brand.

One of my clients hit the same wall last year. His agency was pulling in $30K - $40K a month, but even though he had a growing X account and higher impressions than before, his revenue plateaued. He was chasing followers, but he didn’t have the right audience.

We jumped on his account and changed his content strategy to pieces that created trust with the right people by showing his conviction, his process, his story, and his wins. He ended up closing a £46K ($60K) deal straight from his X account.

He’s now hitting $100K months, over and over.

All because he built a personal brand that converts and followed the formula that I shared with him:

Authority = Conviction x Authenticity

Conviction is absolute certainty in what you do and why it works. It’s the results you’ve gotten, the systems you’ve built, the case studies you can share.

And authenticity is showing the real you with the lessons you’ve learned, the behind-the-scenes, the human side of your journey.

When you combine both, that’s when you become an authority. That’s when people trust you enough to buy, to refer, to partner.

That’s why I describe a personal brand as a bridge that takes strangers to believers and believers to buyers.

It’s what separates the people with 50,000 followers and no sales from the ones with 5,000 followers and a seven-figure business.

If you want to build authority at scale then remember:

The goal isn’t thousands of likes or millions of impressions.

The goal is to be trusted.

That’s how you turn your personal brand from a hobby into a revenue engine.
