The algorithm doesn't care how hard you work

Here's what Elon about X in the past few months and why most people are still playing the wrong game

I'm going to be real with you.

I know ball when it comes to X’ platform.

I’ve been posting on it since 2020 and have generated $6M+ in the past few years. I’ve helped countless other founders increase their authority in their industry, improve engagement and build a personal brand that is reputable and trusted.

So I’ve got elite ball knowledge when it comes to the algo.

I nerd out about the algorithm. About the actual mechanics of how X and LinkedIn decide whose account gets pushed and who doesn't.

It's been something I've been obsessively studying for years. Let me give you a crash course:

  1. The algorithm changed and most people haven't caught up

When Elon took over X, he open-sourced the algorithm. That means we can literally see how it works now. It's no longer based on your follower count (social graph), it's based on interest clusters (interest graph) meaning that one post with the right keyword to the right pocket of people can travel further than anything you post to your entire following.

  1. Your last 128 engagements determine your entire feed

X is tracking the last 128 posts every user engaged with. It builds a picture of their interests and shows them content that matches. That means if your content is landing in the right conversations, it keeps being directed there. If it's not? It just doesn't get pushed in front of your ICP.

  1.  Posting more is killing your reach

There's a clear inverse relationship between post frequency and engagement rate. 1 post a day hits a median engagement rate of 3.5%. Push it to 5 posts a day and it craters to 1.47%. Surface area of tweet on the For You drops with every new tweet you push in 24 hours, leaving you competing against yourself.

  1. Content styles have a lifecycle

Listicles are everywhere right now. Which means they're almost dead. If you start seeing a particular vehicle or a topic an obnoxious amount, that means it’s been overdone. The market on X sophisticates fast. The people seeing great performance long-term are riding a wave until it peaks, then finding the next one early.

I know this crash course doesn’t nearly do justice to everything I want to share with you

This is what I'm breaking down live at Jordan Ross's 8 Figure Agency Summit on March 31st.

I'm talking about how to navigate both X and LinkedIn with intent including the type of content to post, how to stay relevant as the algorithm changes, and how to build the kind of authority that converts to leads and trust.

It's free to attend. If you want in, grab your spot here

See you there.
